Hanabi Sushi Restaurant in Federal Way

One of the best places we have been to so far while living in WA for 2 years. The food is amazing, the price is amazing, and the people are amazing.

The food was outstanding. While we waited we received small appetizer plates similar to banchan in Korean restaurants. I will be back!

Quality restaurant with Korean faire. Sushi done Korean style is what it's all about. Service was super friendly and attentive. Food was of good quality and taste. Excellent location and hours. Worth a revisit and perhaps even routine dining on a regular basis.

Really cool sushi experience. Delicious food, laid back atmosphere. They bring you hot tea and other small appetizers - just included with any food you buy which is pretty awesome.

Best sushi and Japanese restaurant in the South King County area!! Family owned and operated, this spot is one of the best sushi spots I've been to. Fresh fish, creative rolls and wonderfully prepared! The service is just always so great, everyone you interact with is just so incredibly nice and genuinely kind. Perfect date night spot, they can host larger parties, or if you are just wanting to get your sushi on - go here!! So delicious!!

My husband and I absolutely love this place! It is small and always busy so you will have to wait usually but its just part of the experience. We love the waitress that works there and we dont know her name but she always remembers us. The food is always so good and the service is amazing even when they are jam packed. Definitely a little hidden gem in Federal Way

My wife and I love this place. Delicious sashimi, nigiri, and rolls. Everything we've had is good and high quality for very reasonable prices. We got the White Christmas roll which was particularly good. Most rolls are over flavored and dominated by strong flavors, not the ones here.

The place is closed. It's been closed for a month or longer. Google doesn't "believe" it's closed, but it is.

New to the area, and from a relatively small area, so Hanabi’s level of hospitality and wholesome conversation is comparable to the very best of my sushi dining experiences! I will be back to try the soba next! I will not forget to mention how delicious their Seattle Roll is! Yum!!! (edit): Oh, Oops I did forget to mention how reasonably priced everything is!

Very attentive service! We were given complimentary hot tea upon being seated. Then, we were given complimentary edamame. Then, complimentary small plates of veggies (think banchan like you would get at a Korean restaurant, which makes sense since this place is Korean owned).Shrimp and veggie tempura were among the best I've had anywhere; worth a trip back just for this alone. Sushi was also very good. There is better sushi out there, but that doesn't make this sushi bad by any stretch.

Hands down best sushi I've ever had in Federal Way! The service is above and beyond wonderful. I've lived here for almost a year and I wish I found Hanabi Sushi sooner! Also, they have tobiko nigiri with the quail egg option: the best way to have it!

The sushi was delicious. Probably the best rainbow roll I have had, and I loved the variety of fish on top. Our waitress brought complimentary miso soup and varied appetizers, which was a nice surprise. Overall, a delicious meal!

It's not horrible. Prices are good. The problem is quality. You can tell that their preperation methods are high volume and the quality is lost as a result.

Best service I've had at a Korean owned sushi spot. Greeted as soon as we walked in with positive service. The waitress gave great recommendations of the Korean soup. I order the spicy fish soup. It definitely was spicy and there was no fishy odor to the fish either. Nigiri platter was well priced. I would come again. They even served us complimentary grilled salmon cheek. Would come again

The ambience was great and the sushi was comparable to other higher end places. The hostess was extremely nice and when asked about the tea they served she was nice enough to provide us with a sample and the name of it! Will be going back more often.

Resturant was very cute and atmospheric. Great sushi. We got the chef's choice platter, it was delicious. The wait staff was friendly and informative on what some of the appatizers were. We don't get sushi often, but we will come back here next time we're in the mood!

Great service with friendly staff. Sushi was fresh and tasted excellent. Could have improved on cutting the sushi smaller so the pieces aren’t so big. Spicy mayo was a disappointment and was not mixed together well. Overall though pretty good place.

Definitely won't be back. From the moment we walked in everything was asked to is twice by the two ladies waiting on us, there appeared to be no communication. After ordering we waited over 30 minutes for my girlfriend's two small rolls to show up and there was a fruit fly in the spicy tuna roll. Another 20 minutes later the appetizer and my entree came out, no bugs this time around. The restaurant was not very busy this whole time. The real kicker though is that the entire time we were waiting on food to come out we're watching what I presume to be the owners chowing down on a pretty decent spread of food one table diagonally from us. Kind of irritating when it took almost an hour to start my meal.

Service was amazing!!! Change orders and customized rolls were welcomed. Mistakes were made on my order and the table next to me; but were quickly fixed. Tables are attended to consistently. I would return just for the service. I wasn’t a fan of the food but Im sure others would like it. I would try it again just to see if the service was as good again. The owners are Japanese and the place is frequented by Japanese customers. I would rate the food at a 3 out of 5. Service makes up for sure.

As Soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with great service and a great vibe as you take a seat inside... I ordered to and the wait was well worth it...

Service was exceptional and you get lots of little extras, like hot tea, beans, soup, cured veggies, etc.Like most sushi spots, the food here isn't the fastest. And I've definitely had better sushi... But I'd come here again in a heartbeat.

If you love quality sushi, do not come here for that in particular. On a high note the japanese dishes are very good aside from the sushi and the waitresses are very funny and attentive.

My family and I just experienced the most enjoyable dinner I can remember, especially since our first child arrived 10 years ago. The food was excellent, of course, but it was the service that made our meal so memorable. I just wished we lived closer so we could make this our weekly dining spot.

Just went here for the first time. Great food and service with good prices. Complimentary green tea and a few little snacks until your food arrives. Great atmosphere too, would be a good place for a date. I'd highly recommend it

This place is the best! The sushi is amazing. The waitress is so sweet. She always remembers us and my family and will ask how my parents are doing. She makes you feel like family. Super nice! Amazing Experience! The hostess was extremely friendly from the very beginning. We ordered a couple different Sushi rolls and they were all delicious, also very reasonable prices. I will be coming here again!
